Emmanuel Adomah Boateng (2000) is a versatile musician from Amsterdam-Zuidoost who quickly gained attention under the moniker ‘stay away from dante!’ (known as Dante to those close to him) with his unique compositions and dreamy sound. He effortlessly switches between rap and singing, evoking feelings of love, youthfulness, and compassion.
Inspired by legends like Stevie Wonder, Pharrell Williams, Tyler, The Creator, and Kanye West, as well as bands like The Beach Boys and The Strokes, Dante began making beats and taught himself to play the piano and guitar at a young age. In 2022, he made his debut, and after releasing tracks like ‘In Je Eyes’ and ‘AMETHYST RING’, he collaborated with the ‘Koninklijke Concertgebouworkest’, for which he created his first classical composition.
In 2023, his career took off with the release of promising singles ‘excuses’ and ‘RED ME NIET!’ as well as the double single ‘WELKOM BIJ DE VOORSTELLING’, featuring collaborations with Nelcon and Brunzyn. The crowning achievement of the year was being named “Artist to Watch” by the popular music and lifestyle blog Complex NL.
Currently, Dante is diligently working on his next project. His goal is to expand both his own creative horizons and those of the music industry as a whole by presenting his music and art in a unique way.
